Works great, but read the directions before programming After 10+ years, the remote (model# 953T) for my 2005 model year Chamberlain garage door opener died. In need of a new one, I searched Amazon for a unit to replace my original. Unable to find anything that looked exactly like the unit I had, I ended up selecting this model which claimed to work with all Chamberlain garage door openers since 1993.

Just follow the instructions and everything will work out fine… When I was searching to buy a new remote for one that was lost or maybe even stolen from my wife’s vehicle, a lot of the reviews for these were not very good. I kept reading though and found that the biggest problem was people trying to program the new one the same way they had programmed the old one. One review went into great detail about this and then explained to JUST FOLLOW THE INCLUDED INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE BEGINNING! TOO EASY! Following those very instructions, it took all of 3 minutes to program the new remote and I would say 2 of those minutes was getting a step ladder in order to reach the programming button on the head unit. My wife has had the new remote in her car for several weeks now and it seems to be working just fine.

Peggy Davidson says:

Works great Easy to program, with the help of a friend to climb the ladder! The guy that installed the garage wanted $45.00 and I saw them from another dealer here on Amazon that wanted $59.00 a piece. I paid $29.00 each. Works great!
