I was able to easily assemble and install this unit I was able to easily assemble and install this unit. It is surprisingly quiet. Setting up is easy to do. Follow the instructions precisely, look carefully at pictures to position the parts for assembly on the garage floor for simple easy assembly. The old Genie opener was mounted to brackets mounted on the drywall which seemed to be not as tight fit over time. I mounted a 2×4 on the drywall at the front (above garage door) and at the rear location (where motor mounts). My installation is strong, vibration free, quiet and easily programmed the features of this opener.

My very first electric door opener, ever! Surely this has enough power for anything, my home built 8 x 7 wooden tilt-up door not anything close to being too heavy. All the features that come with the unit worked the first time, but I think I will skip the Homelink. Pushing a button is fine with me and there is no chance I will take off on vacation and forget to close the door. Anyway, it can be added later.

Easy installation, very nice opener and remotes Very easy to install and a good amount of power. I’ll admit, my garage door needs a tune-up and the spring setup means that there is a bit more weight on the opener than there should be. This opener handles everything quite easily. The installation was fairly easy for one person. The remotes work from a good distance and I’m looking forward to getting MyQ setup. It’s fairly quiet for a chain-driven model – our garage is unattached, so noise wasn’t a primary concern. If I had to nitpick, I’d say the wall-mounted controller could use longer cabling. The lighting it provides after I installed two 75w-equivalent LED bulbs is great. I had a couple of issues trying to get the travel set, but eventually realized it was because I had knocked one of the door sensors out of alignment.
