It is pretty easy to setup and get cameras working Just setup the unit for the first time. It is pretty easy to setup and get cameras working. The picture is not bad for the money. The recording on the 1 TB drive is good and you can go back and play it. It highlights events in the recording such as motion so it is easy to go back to. The app for the cell phone on Android is much better than for Iphone. Not sure why this is. I have both and the Android one works much better. The problem I have with the unit is the event alarms for motion. I am not getting an alert on my phone. I get some but not all. Reaching out to Tech support to see if they can help. Would be a 5 for the money and may come back if support is good to deal with and raise this review to a 5. All in all if you are looking for low cost system with good features this unit is not bad. Now to see if it last for some time as it is built good from what I can tell.

it would be better if it did not make promises it couldn’t keep … This product is a solid 3/5. Since it is very cost effective, it would be better if it did not make promises it couldn’t keep – and just advertised for what it is.

Nice setup, pretty easy to install. We bought these in September, and it took us a little while to get the time to get it set up. The cameras were placed outside on a metal building and the hardware worked fine, the screws were alright. It was pretty much, put the hardware on the building where you want it, drill a hole for the wire to go through, run the cable, plug them together then set up the monitor and dvr box. My husband has no computer knowledge and was able to put the system together. We used an older flat screen monitor, probably 6yrs old and it hooked up fine. The cameras took a bit to adjust, two of the four we connected took 24 hrs before they got a clear picture. We think this is probably because it was pointed into shadow and just needed to adjust. We will be finishing putting up the rest of the cameras just as soon as we can decide where we want to place them. We do not have a router or internet at this location, so we cant see them on our phones, but the cameras work beautifully.
