Owned 6 different brands of printers and this is by far the best. I did not purchase these printers on Amazon. I do own 4 of them, two set up in my office, and two that I use to for clients. As a university engineering student who does high output printing, these printers are amazing. To start, you can begin prints right out of the box and there is very little calibration needed. Each printer has over 80 print hours with the most used one having an excess of 170 hours of use. I have been able to print PLA, Nylon, and carbon fibre infused PLA out of these machines. I would not recommend it unless the user is informed on how 3D printers work. The accuracy and finish quality is comparable to printers that are selling in the upper $800 range.

There’s a learning curve with any 3D printer. This is our first 3D printer. I got it for my 11 year old and I was drawn to all of the reviews that mentioned how quickly it would up up-and-running. 4 stars is admittedly an arbitrary rating because I had no expectations other than Youtube videos when ordering it. It performs very well compared to some of the similarly priced models I saw on Youtube. Our first print didn’t turn out very well — filament will not stick to this platform. The quick start guide didn’t mention any pre-print setup. I knew from research that we’d need to coat the platform in “something”. Hairspray didn’t work. We finally got it working with Elmer’s glue sticks applied liberally just before printing starts. From that point on, we were printing flat prints.

The best printer in its class. I’ve used the Einstart S at work since the first models were available and recently bought my own for use at home. The print quality is comparable to printers many times the cost and the support material isn’t too stiff so it pries off easily. The poorly translated software is actually pretty usable once you get the hang of it, although I recommend using the old software rather than the latest version because the newest software is all pictured icons rather than having words on the buttons. The linear slides are the best quality I’ve seen on a printer which is really a big deal. The filament holder is useless so I built another one that sits on top of the printer and feeds directly into the print head without the tube, since replacing the filament was inconvenient before. I’ve always used it with just the SD card since it’s really nice to start the printer and walk away. Most people say the printer is only good for PLA, but I’ve printed ABS with a heat gun pointed at it with…
